Sliding Windows

Sliding windows are also known as gliding windows, sliders, or pocket sliders. They operate horizontally with one sash sliding past the other to provide ventilation. The sashes glide on brass rollers for smooth, easy operation. Many modern and ranch style homes are designed using the slider window style.

Two-Lite Sliders

A two-lite slider, also referred to as a two section slider, has two equally sized sashes. Each sash operates to allow for ventilation from either side of the unit.

Three-Lite Sliders

A three-lite slider, also referred to as a three section slider, has a fixed center sash with an operative sash on both sides. The fixed center sash may be twice the width of the two operative sashes in a 1/4 – 1/2 – 1/4 configuration. Alternatively, all three sashes can have the same width in a 1/3 – 1/3 – 1/3 configuration.
